Looking at Human Rights: From the Nürnberg Trials to the Declaration of Human Rights – Guided Tour at the Memorium Nürnberg
Under expert guidance, we will visit the Nürnberg Trials Memorium to explore what human rights violations were committed during World War II and to what extent leading National Socialists were tried and sentenced for them. With the „Universal Declaration of Human Rights“ in 1948, new moral, political and legal bases for state action were formulated for the first time. From now on, governments should no longer treat their citizens arbitrarily.
Following the visit to the exhibition, we will discuss what significance human rights have for politics today.
